Spleen surgeries can be performed by open or closed method (Laparoscopic Splenectomy).
Laparoscopic splenectomy can be performed in some blood diseases that do not respond to drug therapy.
Among these are ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura), hereditary spherocytosis, idiopathic autoimmune hemolytic anemia, TTP (Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura), spleen cysts, spleen tumors (Hodgkin lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin).
Laparoskopik splenektomi: 
* Under general anesthesia,
* It is made with 3 or 4 trocars.
* The spleen is taken out through a 3-4 cm incision.
* Patients are discharged after 2-3 days.
